Prudent judgment,’ is just a fancy way of saying ‘don’t rock the boat.’ The law doesn’t care about truth... only about keeping the machine running. As long as someone can be held ‘reasonably’ responsible, everyone gets to pretend order still exists. It's not justice... it’s theater for the obedient.
