I had this discussion a couple of weeks ago, while it does skew the discussion sometimes, actually 'fertility' is the terms used in the date, rather than 'birth rate' which maybe annoying but is certainly not recent.... although, equally, this recent discussion was why I used 'birth rate' in the post
