Whenever I look at one of those hashi-elastic-style license changes I wonder how Kafka resisted leaving the Apache foundation or why Confluent was (successfully I think?) able to build an entire ecosystem around it...
I already started planning for a scenario how to run on exclusively Open Source and what components I'd have rewrite and what to throw out..
