12 of our members were present at the hearing when he stated: "This is really reminiscent to me of what happened in Nazi Germany…”
These comments were not only historically inappropriate but deeply hurtful to many in our membership, particularly our Jewish members who have personal or family connections to Holocaust survivors.
One attendee at the hearing who had experienced the Holocaust personally had to leave the room because of how disturbing these comparisons were."
