I would not recommend using the IDE interface any longer. PiStorm gives you almost 30 mb/sec. with its SD card...
Apart from that, you need the SD card anyway, as the PiStorm software goes onto that on a FAT partition. You can have your Amiga partitions on the SSD using the IDE interface if you really want to, but better copy the stuff over onto partitions on the SD card.
