#WritersCoffeeClub 18 Show, don't tell
Showing gives the reader an experience. Telling doesn't.
However, telling can still get a great story across.
Telling is also useful to speed up sections which don't deserve detailed showing.
I like to give my readers an intense experience, so I mostly use 'showing'. But when there's a reason to 'tell', I use telling techniques. I use whatever works best for that part of that story.
