I've been looking in to the track meet stabbing
The story I've managed to piece together is that at this track event, groups set up tents in the stands to somewhat make their area private. Darniggus Larcenious Gibsmedat the 3rd was being a good boy and in the process of dindu nuffin'in when the White kid caught him in their tent and told him to beat it. He was most likely going through their shit. (This is just my interpretation based on eyewitness accounts and racist noticing)
