Unless Twitter is different than literally any other ad ecosystem I've ever come across, they pay per impression. If you block ads, they don't get paid. AKA, why they hate ad blockers and so many sites bug you not to use them. As long as you block ads, you're going to pretty much disable the bulk of the ad revenue Twitter gets.
