I lost a ton of my hair too, through the stress of my divorce and the ex stalking me. When it grew back, to my dismay, it was much less thick and was white! ☹️
I was already salt and pepper from early 20s--it runs in my family, my youngest's hair is almost completely white at age 28--but this is at my temples and on either side of my face above my eyebrows. It makes me look like the bride of Frankenstein. I touch it up with an ammonia based color--no harsh peroxide.
