The annual meetings of the UAE government 2024, which were attended by more than 500 leaders and officials from federal and local authorities, have concluded in Abu Dhabi. The next round of meetings will be held on November 5 and 6, 2025. The annual meetings of the UAE government 2024 have produced high-quality outputs that serve as a strategic starting point to accelerate and multiply efforts to achieve greater accomplishments and new milestones that will positively impact the country's development and global competitiveness. The current round of meetings has significant importance in completing the UAE's journey according to the "Vision 2031" and reaching the goals of "Vision 2071" through continued work within updated plans that unify efforts to work in a cohesive and coordinated manner, based on an institutional culture that emphasizes forward-thinking, flexibility, and integration, and realism at the federal and local levels. In the UAE's efforts to solidify the circular economy and encourage responsible practices in resource consumption, the annual meetings of the UAE government were held without food waste, in collaboration with the national initiative to reduce food waste "Noura" and embody this step, the annual meetings of the UAE government aim to set new standards for government events by applying the "Zero Food Waste to Landfill" framework launched by the "Noura" initiative, which is a circular and comprehensive approach to combating food waste and promoting sustainable consumption. During the annual meetings, the UAE announced a scientific research project and joined the list of leading countries in the field of polar research, as well as launched a package of community initiatives worth half a billion dirhams, which include quality projects targeting major citizens, youth, women, and children, and vary between community councils that provide comprehensive social services in different areas of the country. The annual meetings also included the organization of the "National Identity Khulafa" event, where the UAE government launched the "National Identity Encoding" initiative, the first of its kind. Additionally, the "Artificial Intelligence Khulafa" event, which was organized during the annual meetings, drew a clear roadmap for integrative initiatives and projects within the 2025 agenda, based on three main pillars including infrastructure and data, digital talent, and policies and legislation.
