Although Wendy (left) and Moja (right) are best friends, it is usually no problem for Wendy if I do stuff with her without bringing Moja along.

However, when I took her to the round pen the other day, I noticed that she wasn't into it at all. Once there, she bucked and kicked out like I've never seen her do before.
It eventually turned out that Moja had a hoof ulcer that was causing her pain. Wendy didn't want to leave her best friend alone.
