Update: the director seemed to think the image came from the library brand guidelines, which may have been what the outreach librarian told her. I emailed her after my talk with the director. She isn't sure where she got the image "Maybe from a Word document?" (‽) but we had another nice conversation about proper credit and I got to say that again, yes, I am fine with the library using my photos, I just want to get credit for them. FYI this is the photo.
