What makes it worse is that the overall lore sort of implies that these "beautiful girls" are merely some kind of spirit doubles - and their original bodies were comatose, and were presumably soon buried as presumed corpses.
Which leads me to the interpretation that the "invisible force" that cleans the clothes is the ghost of these women, since they have been dead for quite some time.
