The Internet Archive just lost its appeal over ebook lending. I am really puzzled and annoyed by this, it feels yet another incentive for the public to download illegal copies instead.
I used it so many times to check books of which I just needed a couple of pages or to check if I was actually interested to buy one. This is going to be a big loss of a very useful service. Similar services via uni proxies are often more clumsy and slow in my experience.
