The best way is to not try to take it all in at once — as if that were even possible.

In order to understand Bitcoin as digital money, it helps to first understand what money is, that’s a question that is best answered by understanding philosophy (what makes something “money”?) and history (what has been used as money prior to it being digital?). Answering these questions, alone, can take up a lot of time and are very helpful. Some people are more interested in what makes digital money *secure* and thus study bitcoin from a cryptography perspective. However, security isn’t just about the code, it’s also about hash power. Thus, some people are more interested in hardware technology, and energy markets needed to power that hardware, at scale.

You’re not overthinking it. You can’t.
There is no way to easily get “caught up”. Even if you spent the next year reading book about bitcoin ever published, the industry is moving so fast over the next 12 months, you won’t be able to keep up after you caught up.

My advice, take it slowly. Find the areas (perhaps mentioned above) that are interesting to you and follow your curiosity down the rabbit hole. Study #bitcoin. Ignore and avoid *everything* else in the shitcoin casino.

Nostr bitcoiners are available to recommend books and podcasts.
