Your client counts all the “follow” events across your connected relays.
Nostragram may have the most accurate count for you because the author runs a query across a bunch of relays to get follower count.
Reason being that you may have connected to some relays that you no longer use and have followers there that are no longer counted.
It’s the big trade off with a decentralized system.
