I went down a dark road today that led to this house I lived in when I was a kid. Unfortunately, I learned at a very young age—while living in that house—that I couldn’t trust the adults in my life. Between “not knowing” and “kids being kids” back then…what else was I supposed to do but live in fear?

It’s only in the last year that I’ve been able to start recognizing my past fears and finally put them to rest.
