My welder came with a reel of wire that said "Made In The USSR" on it, and my helmet has so much splatter damage that it hinders my vision ;)
I'm going to need to drill as well (to attach wood to steel) - I always find drilling steel to be a huge pain. Main thing I've learned is that you have to sharpen your bits *often*, and *correctly*, or you're just going to waste your time.
