I beat an entire software department when I was 18 because they couldn't work out how to make VB use a serial port. I'd rather that didn't go on my gravestone.
I'm nowhere near as arrogant now as I was when I was a teenager but I still don't get how 4 of them couldn't work it out but I could. Noticeably before Google was a thing.
