Almost all of the email I receive at my site addresses is SPAM. Most of it is lazy SPAM. Today I received a solicitation to buy e-bikes in the EU. I don't live in the EU. I don't ride e-bikes. I don't even like e-bikes --they're absolute terrors in NYC (which, I reiterate, is not in the EU). What's worse is it was a follow-up because I did not respond to the original spam. I understand spam is inevitable. But is it too much to ask for the spammers to be creative? Last year I received a genuinely moving spam email from Li Shangfu, the former Defense Minister of China, pleading for my help. Almost cried a bit. That's the kind of spam I want to see more of.
