Are they? GPS/GNSS is receive only on earth. Only the satellites transmit. That means there is no signal from the GPS in a drone to track.
But what about jamming preventing the drone from hitting the right target? That is an interesting problem because jamming breaks all receivers in the region. Military, police, and EMS radios all rely on GPS these days so to GPS jam to prevent the attack you create the self own that you have no emergency response, in addition to commerce and travel issues.
So this solves a movie plot issue that doesn't really work in real life.
On top of that computer vision is extremely expensive compared to GPS so this is a huge cost on a per drone basis getting blown up every time to avoid a low probability issue. A drone that detects jamming and switches to inertial navigation makes far more sense to me.
This really only makes sense if you can outsource the expense of your drones like Ukraine does by getting American funds for free.
