Is Patreon kind of like dealdash or other similar "hey, maybe you can buy product xyz for $1, as long as you support and get your bids in" thing?
I ask because I see a few coffee influencers from YT use Patreon to a) raise a lot of funds to supposedly buy gear / run their channels, b) give away single products in a lottery kind of system to their patreon supporters (hence the enticements to pay influencers a monthly/yearly fee).
I am a patreon neophyte - never used it.
