Can you please help me with a weird #JetPack issue?

For some reason, my newsletter is being sent out in Markdown rather than HTML.
I can't find a way to get it to use the_content() before sending.
Anyone experienced this before?
(Please don't reply saying I should switch to a different blogging platform as a blocking often offends.)
