While appreciating the utility of an organized anti-fascist movement, I feel like there also needs to be a normalization of acts of everyday anti-fascism.

Expressions of affinity with the forces of fascism - in the form of flags, tshirts, conversation, etc. - need to be met with a steadfast rejection, disapproval, disdain, mocking, and so on. Trump supporters and their ilk should be vociferously condemned wherever and whenever they show up.

I feel like we've been too nice, in part because the fascist creep has spread so widely and become so normalized itself. We may not all know an outright Nazi, but we all know a Trump backer. Civil discourse tell us it is a question to be debated at the ballot box and amid polite society. But the acceptability of fascism is not up for debate. It does not deserve a seat at the table. It must be confronted and driven off.

Antifascists have long proclaimed, "we go where they go." Well, they're everywhere. What are we going to do about it?
