It was something most listeners would recognize as the original song, as opposed to, say, three words and seven notes randomly mixed with similar unrecognizable data from other songs to make a four minute song.

The amount of data used by AI to "create" a song might well be less than than the data lost in compressing a song to mp3. And, importantly, none of the artists who made the original works get a crumb of credit.
