this is a climate controlled space first off. So compared to your typical garage it’s pretty dry (my hardwood lumber likes this too).
Second I’ve only ever dried TPU and a couple of times PETG. PLA literally never. If you’re using up spools within a year I’m not sure it’s a huge issue, certainly less than the elaborate solutions might have you believe.
I’ve got one roll of PETG still from London I bought over 6 years ago! That has never been dried or particularly well cared for. Prints fine.
Not saying hygroscopic absorption isn’t a problem because I do understand the physics at play, but it might be a little overblown.
