the photo you see below, is the method of using liquid tin to extract minerals and metals from seawater desalination brine, at a competitive cost-performance ratio that is a lot better than (1) electrodialysis (this consumes a lot of electricity), (2) absorbents (which causes discharge and pollution).

note the solubility of Mg, Na, K, Ca metals in Sn (Tin) at the target temperature (573K).

when it comes to extraction of uranium from the oceans, using this method, will be thermodynamically challenging at the same temperature range, to which a more nauced analysis should first be undertaken. the 2007 article titled "Review of uranyl mineral solubility measurements", in particular page 339 equation 2.
