Lorina Wiebes of the Netherlands won her second stage victory in the third edition of the UAE Tour for Women, taking the second stage 'Community Stage' title, which took place in the Al Dhafra region, as she continues her path towards the overall competition title. Wiebes, a rider of SD Worx, repeated her impressive victory, just like the first day, by securing two consecutive stage wins, benefiting from her experience in entering the finish line in the decisive moments, after she managed to catch up with the leading group, finishing the stage in 2:17:35 hours. Wiebes, the European champion, raised her number of victories in the UAE Tour to 5 stages, achieving the highest speed rate in the tour, with an average speed of 48.4 km/h when entering the finish line, and advanced easily ahead of American Lily Williams of Humaun Power Health, who finished second, and Irish Lara Gillespie of UAE Team, who came in third. The top three places in the stage were occupied by UAE Team riders, with Italian Elisa Longo Borghini, the winner of the first edition, finishing fourth, and Dutch Karlijn Swinkels fifth. After the second stage of the tour, Wiebes retained the red jersey, sponsored by the Global Company, leading the overall general classification with a total time of 6:14:52 hours, ahead of Gillespie by 13 seconds and Williams by 14 seconds, and fourth-placed Longo Borghini by 16 seconds. Wiebes also retained the green jersey, sponsored by the City, after raising her points tally to 40, with Gillespie scoring 22 points, and Longo Borghini 20 points. Belgian Julie de Wilde of Phoenix-Deko won the white jersey, sponsored by Energy, as the best rider under 23 years old, while Dutch Karlijn Swinkels of UAE Team won the black jersey, sponsored by the Dar, for the most aggressive rider and accumulated 13 points. The winners of the second stage, along with the leaders of the general classification, were honored by a ceremony, attended by Afif Hamad Al Awani, the General Secretary of the Abu Dhabi Sports Council, Rami Musabbah Al Mansoori, the Deputy Director of the Department of Abu Dhabi Government in Al Dhafra, and other officials.
