The #digital competence framework for #Wales is lacking in area's.
It lacks providing an understanding of #opensource, #freesoftware or #copyleft licenses. Considering the extent to which the internet and the #UK #economy is powered by open source technology and these license, this a big gap in the framwork.
Fixing this omission isn't about advocacy for #FOSS or other #open standards, its about enabling the citizens of Wales to understand the digital ecosystem in which they operate.
