Before Jesus was begat from the Father, He existed as the Logos (the Word) in the Trinity. The Logos is the second Person of the Trinity, who is co-eternal with the Father and the Holy Spirit, and is the one who was sent by the Father to be born of the Virgin Mary and become man. The Logos is also the one who spoke through the prophets and performs miracles in the Bible, and is the source of all life and knowledge.
