i miss simpler times when you could just pick turn a handle and something happened in real time like a door would either unlock or the handle would not turn signaling that the door is locked

now you click or tap on things and and a guessing game begins - will something happen ? did it happen ? does it work ? am i doing it right ? is the touch screen buggy ? is the connection lagging ? is the software ? the OS ? something else ?

nothing happens at the actual moment when it should. things either happen a bit later, a lot later or not at all.

i hate this.
