This is for something I'm going to sell so that route is possible but overboard expensive. I know it can be done with a couple resistors, a capacitor and either a 555 timer or pnp transistor to add the random noise. It's the layout I'm having trouble with.
I found one company that sells exactly what I'm looking for but they are also over the top expensive for what it is.
I may buy one and dissect it.
