If school is about anything relating to preparing students for adulthood then they did exactly the right thing. We want them to engage, to participate, what are else are they supposed to do, write some begging letters?
This govt has made it so much clear that they don't care, and the students have adapted accordingly.
The cowards are the adults in this story, and the media that isn't asking the hard questions of those in power.
