I was gardening yesterday (it's LA) and a father and his 2 children were walking down the sidewalk and wished me Merry Christmas. I congenially (it's true) replied Merry Christmas and Happy Hanukkah (it's Pavlovian) and wondered if that might be a tad extra. Until I heard the little girl ask her father, "What's Hanukkah"?
