> I specifically said "new Kiryu game"
Ah that's right, didn't pay attention on that part, my bad!
> The moment I knew about this game, I really wanted to borrow PS4 from somebody else just to play it
You actually know the guy 😏
I'll need it for Gaiden soon, but it'll be more than a month before that (and I don't know yet if I'll actually pay 50$ for the pre-order lol), so we can meet if you would like to. Decent reason to hang out together once in a while, too
To be honest I've played it two years ago and didn't really like it the first time. No, more like it was a bit boring for some reason. But I've seen good reviews about Lost Paradise lately https://youtu.be/PIjwbJWAMtE?si=6hqr0ow7zdWO5GK0 (since it is FotNS anniversary and stuff) and was thinking about giving it another chance. Downloaded it a few days ago, didn't launch it yet though (playing Kurohyou currently)
> You really thought I haven't played them? I liked everything about these two games. And I love everything about LJ, I really miss its smooth fighting gameplay.
Wow you've beated both Judgment games already?? Last time we talked about Judgment you said that you don't own it yet, but it was ages ago, can't even remember when... Man glad you've liked it than!
> Of course, Kiryu shows up in LAD, but at the moment I thought they moved him from being a main character to being a support.
Oh, now I see what do you mean. Well I thought the same thing before LAD: IW was announced, but looking at it now I think it was just more about welcoming Ichiban to the series. Like, it would be weird to make a reboot of the franchise like that, by making a game about both a completely new protagonist alongside the old one. So no surprise he would be a supportive character in Y:LAD in any case — otherwise the game wouldn't have enough time and focus to develop Ichiban and his crew. And now, since the new protagonist was presented properly, they can make a game about both Ichiban and Kiryu, for one reason or another. Welp, then as I said I guess it's all about giving Kiryu a more satisfying ending. And milking Kiryu fans ofc (and making a new fan base for the older games with Kiryu)
