It all depends on how much setting up a node has cost you. For example, if you're using hardware which you already own (as opposed to buying new), which means cost is negligable, then yes, it can be profitable.

Also remember that "profitable" here refers to stacking sats. And as long as your node is helping you stack more sats, then that's profitable in my book.

I've been running a node for around two years or so now and have been collecting sats all during this period.
