There is absolutely nothing wrong with that, the indexers still tell you the dates they first saw these updates, there is nothing wrong in users publishing an update to anything they authored, this is how the Web works and it is how it should.
And by the way Nostr can do that too if clients cared to support that, not sure why do we dunk on Bluesky for the wrong reasons? did:plc is already bad enough.
