I actually agree with feminists that marriage is inherently patriarchal and designed to limit womens' freedom.
I just don't think it's necessarily a bad thing, so long as women can freely choose their spouse or choose to not marry, as it is good for our children.
And, of course, Christian marriage has been raised to a sacrament.
