"content": "It receives SSB but cannot send SSB. It can send a single \"carrier\" though, so most of the WSJT-X modes work. The QMX does that by emulating a sound card and measuring the frequency of the audio waveform the PC sends to the QMX. It then uses the Si5351 chip to synthesize the corresponding RF frequency directly.\n\nOne ham on the QRP Labs groups.io group supposedly had success with using one of the Winlink modes in the slowest settings, even though it wasn't supposed to work.\n\nI might need to research if there are any VHF/UHF nodes nearby so that I can use my HT.",
