I absolutely abhor Band Aid and Do They Know It's Christmas. To my very bones.
To me it is the prime example of how Western do-gooders are more interested in "saving" Africa than elevating it.
"Here's a photo of a Black child with reed-thin arms and flies around his mouth. Yes, this makes you think that Africa is "the dark continent" not worthy of investment and your £5 will only feed him for a day. But at least we look good."
