If one focuses too much on the criticism, they do not work on it. Critique exists for a reason, and is part of an underlying warning/problem manifesting, and it seems communication hasn’t perfected in man, for this attachment to a false self - “ego, thought…”. There are no alternate universes, or selves. Clinging, attachment or overthinking to others, or your past self, is a hinderance, as there only is one you, who is the same as the former. God lives in the present moment, and existing with each breath is freeing. Don’t stop for anyone, and express yourself as you normally would, as long as you work on the issues.
