the thing that irks me with emacs is that all emacs-fu is sort of wasteful.
It only works inside of emacs and is all completely useless outside of there. I also can't leverage libraries and what not from elsewhere
I keep thinking that if I where to use VScode I could leverage all my js-fu and clojure-fu in my editor, but then I try it and I jump right back to emacs.. ahh
at least I know it's gonna keep working 10 years from now
