I've used it a few times and not encountered this sort of stuff... But I relied on the citations. The actual text was generally an amalgamation of the citations, right and wrong.
The scraping and so forth is pretty damning.
Of course, WIRED :press: (npub1ejm…4j05) and I went round and round when they used one of my non-commercial photos on their website some years ago, which they tried to argue wasn't commercial.
So I got a giggle from this. Poetic justice.
