The smell of rotting flesh is NOT the smell of plumbing issues.I've smelled dead animals before (many times) and it's a very distinct "death" order. Those folks have very poor ability to distinguish smells. (the smell of dead rat/dead squirrel festering for several days is about the same as dead human; my son is a paramedic and has confirmed this).
