Before you start spreading ICE alerts, try to get connected with local groups that do this stuff. Look for immigrant rights orgs, the more local the better. Try to get connected with them and ask what they need. Well meaning false reports can be a serious problem that can clog the systems people rely on. Think of how people have successfully shut down snitch lines for trans bathroom laws, and you can get the idea of how too much false information becomes an issue. Groups that already do this are likely to have better vetting processes and instructions for how to help.

If you do need to pass on information, be specific. Confirm that what you're looking at is ICE, try to figure out what they're doing, etc. Folks have been spreading the SALUTE model of military intel and that's solid. Don't just tell people you saw ICE: unfortunately these fucking jackboots are just part of society, and they could be shooting the shit and swilling coffee. People can't live in panic mode all the time, so be vigilant while also being discerning.
