A few AI lawsuits are getting interesting, particularly around copyright and who owns a model that is trained on copyrighted data. 🧑⚖️
Back in 2016 I spent 12 months negotiating with a very well known blue chip company (market cap $210B), and I managed to persuade them to accept that my startup owned the models that we trained on their most commercially sensitive data.👩💼
This came with many conditions attached, but they did allow us to own these models.👨💻
I very much doubt such a deal would be entertained today. ☠️
