it would not be impossible or even that difficult for, say, CD and DB to train a bunch of drivers to operate the entire Prague - Berlin trip in both countries, however, now, how do you pay them, why would they want to needlessly spend nights out of home on much longer legs, etc., and then you still need to change crew because passenger facing staff would probably not manage (or want to manage) this
