I noticed a few posts about Kent State yesterday. I am sure there are younger people who don't know what it was all about.
Here in the states, May 4 is Kent State Day, a bit like Guy Fawkes, but in reverse, our Tiananmen Square Day, when our government killed our children for trying to stop an evil slaughter of innocents in a far away country.
We grieve not the loss of freedom, but the realization it never existed.
We worry it will happen again this spring...
