One of the most elite boarding schools in Britain, Eton College, is banning incoming students from having smartphones, reports CBS News. Instead, students joining the school in September will be given old-school Nokia phones that can only make calls and send text messages.
The ban comes after the previous U.K. government issued guidance in February 2024 backing school principals who decide to ban the use of cellphones during the school day. CBS has more.
