Today I find myself somewhat irked by the entire class of people pushing the whole "succeed as an author by buying the books/courses/etc. that are the sole thing that makes me successful as an author".
This is reminiscent of the old "how to make money using direct mail" guys who sold books saying you make money by running ads claiming they can make money using direct mail.
Pro tip: people with the real expertise tend to give most of it away.
